ONE WEEK LATER ???? ????

On Saturday evening around 7pm, Larry took me to a particular garden, I’ve not be there before I don’t even know that such garden exist.

According to him, he said it’s met for lovers who wish to stay in a quiet place alone, I wonder why he took me there when he knew we weren’t lovers or are we?

It was winter period all the lights that were turned on in the garden gives it a beautiful view, the roses flowers well planted in lines and Christmas lights that were hang all over the roses makes it look more beautiful.

The garden he said, its know as eden love garden, I’ve never be to such beautiful place all my life.

We walked around in slience holding each other’s hands.

We got to a place where candles in bottles were arranged in large circle and red flowers were inside the circle in the middle of roses flowers that were in love shape.

The lights from the candles and roses flowers gives it a perfect view to behold, to crown it all, full moon was right in the middle and seven bright stars surround the moon which makes it the best place for anyone to go especially for lovers.

Larry said whenever that full moon is out in the middle of those love shape, roses flowers and the seven bright stars surround it, it’s means something great is about to happen and I wonder what’s about to happen.

He also said the full moon represent life, good health, good tidings, Joy, love, happiness and peace while the stars represent seven good years of luck, fruitfulness, abondance of blessings and the candles represent lights that will shine in that person’s life for these seven years and the roses represent love I mean true love from one’s heart.

He said this occurred once every five years, I keep wondering why he took me there because I know nothing good comes out of me.

I stared at the moon and stars then I noticed I was standing right at the same spot where the moon was shining to. I turned to Larry who was smiling sweetly at me.

“Why did you bring me here?”, I asked, he smiled again and held my hands.

“I brought you here because, the moon has a face like the clock in the hall, she shines on the thieves on the garden wall, on streets and fields and harbour quays and birdies asleep in forks of the trees. The squalling car and…….”,

“That’s a poem by Robert Louis Stevenson”, I cut him short.

“Yes, if you don’t like it I can tell you another poem, I know a lot of love poems”, he said, I stared at him then look up to the moon.

“Should I tell you another poem?”, He asked, I turned to him and nod.

“Ok, *Moonlight riding the oceans tide

*Covers images of love pressed into the sand and smoothes the beaches to hide

*Evidence of lovers, woman and man.

*Man chases woman in playful flight

*Laughter wakes the still of the night

*He catches her, the figures bind

*The Ocean whisper a mist fine

*Ruby lips I press next to mine, a turtle lays her eggs which will hatch in time

*Emotions of love flame the night passions of flesh that turn sweat bright man and woman together tight

*Lovers alone on a beach at night, the moon looks down to see

*Embarrassed he hides behind the masking clouds

*Winds blow the Ocean breeze

*Soft rain falls, lovers run under towels

*Picking up belongings running to the car, they sit and watch the storm as if from afar

*The turtle returns to the sea

The lovers drive back to the city

Do you like it?”, He asked as soon as he finishes saying it.

How he managed to say all the poem without reading it is what I don’t understand.

“Yes I like it, who wrote it?”, I asked

“Fritz Purdum wrote it”, he replied

“Are you in anyway interesting in me?”, I asked looking up to the moon and stars.

“No am not, this is what I want”, he said.

I turned instantly to him only to behold him kneeling down on one knee with a box of silver ring in his hand.

“Beautiful and adorable lady, will you be my wife please?”, He asked.

I can’t believe this, oh my God! I held my chest happily, I’ve waited for this for good sorry I mean for bad 28 years.

“Yes! Yes! Yes! I will be your wife!”, I screamed happily as he fix the ring in my middle finger.

I helped him up as we engaged in a most passionate kiss.

This was how I met Larry the one man that truly loves me.
