Three months later

” I’m telling you Amore, everything is going to be fine.” Matteo smiled.

Olivia looked at their hands. The huge diamond ring Alexander had inserted onto her finger caught her eye. Why couldn’t everyone be happy like she was now?

” You look great by the way.” She offered a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. Matteo chuckled faintly, his chest tightening as he reminded himself that everything would end in a matter of minutes.

” Yeah, my mom picked this for me. You should probably leave though. She’ll be here any second.” Matteo said.

Olivia remained silent. Mrs Ferrari was by far the most bitter woman she had ever come across. She had the face of an angel, her piercing green eyes and curly golden locks could make anyone fall for her within an instant. Her personality however….

It was no wonder Matteo never liked to speak about her. She was hostile, and even more to her sons. If she were to ever meet Olivia in the room with Matteo she wouldn’t be very happy.

Olivia offered a silent nod, fiddling with her ring as her mind drifted elsewhere. Right now she wished her husband would hold her and tell her everything would be okay. It wasn’t true, but it would make her feel less depressed.

” I’ll see you after the wedding?” She asked. It’s wasn’t entirely possible for them to meet after the celebration. They were to leave for the honeymoon and wouldn’t return until a month later.

” Definitely.” The certainty in Matteo’s voice made her relax a bit. At least that was for sure.

Matteo planted a light kiss on her forehead before letting her off. Olivia didn’t bother turning back, she couldn’t.

She met Alexander speaking to Chanel Ferrari. His expression was unreadable but Olivia deduced that he was all but irritated by her mere presence. Everyone was.

His eyes brightened once they met hers, a sad expression quickly taking over as he pulled her into his arms. His fingers played with her ring, it was something he usually did when he was upset or nervous. Sometimes it confused Olivia because he had his own ring, but right now it felt soothing.

” Olivia, you look…quite pretty today. How are you sweetheart?” Chanel offered a small smile. Her sweet voice contrasted the spiteful look in her eyes.

Olivia smiled, the least she could do was enjoy the woman’s displeasure towards her. Chanel disliked Olivia from the start. But it didn’t bother anyone, no one cared what she thought.

” Thank you. Alexander, the wedding’s about to start let’s take our seats. Goodbye, Mrs Ferrari.” Olivia smiled politely, dragging her husband away.

” She’s going to burst.” Alexander chuckled as they approached the stuffed hall.

” It’s the least I could do. Come on, Matteo needs us.” She pulled him farther up front. The both of them took a seat, smiling when they spotted Matteo in his well tailored white and golden tux.

His long hair was held in a half bun, leaving tendrils to frame his face perfectly. In short, he looked expensively handsome. Alexander folded his arms across his chest, growling as the old beside Matteo whispered something to him.

Everyone was seated, the music started playing and only the four of them were aware of the tension. Zac looked like he was ready for a blood bath as he stood a safe distance away from his brother. He was clad in a very expensive black suit, his long hair was held in a low bun and from the way his eyes skimmed lazily around the hall, he didn’t like what he was seeing.

The music started playing and the bride walked gracefully down the aisle with her chubby father. Her long, blonde hair fell back in elegant waves and her hazel eyes stared ever so confidently into Matteo’s green ones as she did. Her makeup was perfect, a bit more than Olivia was comfortable with but it was beautiful.

She was, in one word… gorgeous.

Alexander’s hand found Olivia’s and he rubbed soothing circles on the back of her hand. Olivia sank into her seat as the bride, Anastasia, approached her husband-to-be.

Matteo smiled at her and whispered something which made his wife grin widely. Olivia completely zoned out as the priest began uniting the couple. His words hardly met her ears as she stared at her wedding ring.

” You’ll make the most beautiful bride, my jewel.” Alexander kissed her ear, sending a pleasant chill down her spine.

” I hope so. ” She smiled.

It seemed she had been more nervous than the groom himself for the wedding. If anything, Matteo looked…happy. Olivia let out a deep breath, finally deciding that she would disregard the discomfort she felt within. After receiving a stern talking to from his parents and his dying grandfather, Matteo decided to give the marriage a chance. It was going far better than Olivia had anticipated.

As she stared the couple, Olivia could only hope that she would be as confident and elegant as the bride. A wedding isn’t something she ever thought she would live to see. Now that Alexander had proposed to her, she was to get married to him, again, in three weeks. Perhaps she was nervous for herself all this while, she chuckled to herself.

” I hate this part. ” Alexander rolled his eyes as Matteo and Anne kissed. It was brief, but it elicited the loudest applause and cheers from the crowd.

” Why? Will you not kiss me on our wedding?” Olivia raised a brow, she knew the answer already.

” Oh I definitely would, Baby. I’d do much more on our wedding night too.” He smirked.

Olivia smacked his chest, her cheeks reddening with embarrassment as she felt her core heat up.

” Let’s go speak to them before they leave. They seem to be in a rush for some reason. ” Alexander helped Olivia up as they made their way passed the crowd.

Alexander pulled his wife closer as they swayed to the soft music playing in the background. Each of them were lost in their own world. But they found peace in each other’s presence, and it was all that mattered.

” You look beautiful today.” He said into her ears.

Olivia hummed, her eyes closed as she listened to her husband’s racing heart. Was there something he was hiding from her? Before she could inquire about that a voice spoke up.

” We couldn’t agree more.”

They both halted. Olivia frowned as she watched Alexander’s posture stiffen.

Curly brown hair and blue eyes stared back at them. They looked exactly like Nicolas. Olivia didn’t need to think twice before realizing that they were Ace and Axel. The woman beside them looked different though. Her raven black hair was cut short and her light brown eyed smiled at Olivia.

That had to be…

” Lily?”Β  Alexander’s voice was a little cracked but his expression was that of joy. He finally met his siblings after 10years of losing them to the mafia.

” Aren’t you going to introduce us, little brother?” One of the twins cocked an amused brow.

And he did.
