Few hours later.
— Kendra’s POV —
“Mom, I’m really sorry but can you guys let me
finish high school here? I promise once I’m done I’ll come to you myself” I pleaded looking from mom to dad.
Mom was looking really sad.
“I knew you were gonna change your mind after
seeing him. I feared you were gonna do it but its
okay. We can still spend a lot of times together
after your high school” she replied.
“I’m sorry and thanks so much. I won’t go back on
my words again, I promise I’ll come to you so we
can get to know each other more” I cooed.
“Dad?” I called when he wasn’t saying anything.
“Is that okay with you?” I asked and he looked at
me.
“We can’t force you ken. I’m just regretting the fact that we didn’t find you earlier, even if you go with us the truth still remains that you’ll leave us again to
get married. I mean its not possible to stay together forever” he said calmly.
“Thank you. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate you
guys” I thanked and gave mom a warm hug and
then dad.
Fred was just starring at us from the door without a word. I guess he isn’t taking my decision well. But what to do? I can’t just truly abandon everything
and run away.
Kora will get annoyed for sure when she comes
back and finds out that I left without seeing her.
Rico will be very sad and cole….? I don’t even know so my decision in some ways is right.
I still have college to attend and I’ll be with them
when its time.
“Bye” I cooed and waved at them as I got to the
door.
“Fred, I’m really sorry, I know you’re really affected by my decisions but I’m deeply sorry alright?” I
cooed and he looked at me.
“I find it really hard to get angry at you but don’t do what you did again alright? Please consider mom in your next decision” he said and I nodded my head.
“Just give me till next year. I’ll be with you guys and we’ll attend college together please?” I pleaded.
“Um..its okay? Its not as if I can stop you anyways” he said.
“Fred, come on, you’re making me feel really bad” I pouted.
“I’m sorry, it’s just that I’ll miss you badly. Do keep
your words this next alright?” He cupped my
cheeks and I shook my head.
“Come lemme take you there” he beckoned but I
nodded negatively.
‘You guys need to leave. I can take care of myself
and make sure you look after mom alright?” I
asked.
“Of course” he smiled and I left after giving him a
warm hug.
I’ll badly miss them and I’ll surely go to them but not now, I thought as I left the compound.
*Rico’s POV*
Dad showed up with mom looking really angry but
wasn’t showing it much.
I wonder what mom told him. He ordered the cops
to free me from the cuffs and they did.
He gave me an angry eyes turned back and without a word, left.
I expected yelling, his punishment and all. The truth is I was ready for it but its surprising he listened to whatever mom told him.

Few days later.
— Kendra’s POV —
Rico was discharged few days back. We have
gotten really close.
My family has left for NY already and now
everything is back as it used to be apart from the
fact Kora is still with her mom.
I wonder if the surgery went well tho. I hope so.
Rico drove me to school and we both came down
from his car.
About Cole we haven’t spoken much. He doesn’t
show up in school or anything.
I don’t even see Nick around but I hope he is okay.
I waited for Rico to park properly and he did.
After parking he came to me.
“We arrived early because of you kendra. Why
don’t we take a walk around and let me show you
places you’ve never been to here” he proposed.
“Hmm um..alright” I agreed and he took one of my
hands firmly in his.
“Let’s go” he cooed and we started off.
We continued walking as he pointed to different
places showing me around.
But suddenly he stopped walking.
I looked at him and he was starring as if he just saw a ghost.
I looked at the direction he was looking at and saw a very pretty girl of about my age.
She looks really pretty. Long hair, lashes, slim waist and body and she was also smiling.
“Hi” she waved at him but he didn’t say a word.
“Rico, do you still recognize me?” She suddenly
asked but he still kept mute.
“Its me, pearl” she added and I gasped.
Oh my! Don’t tell me she’s the pearl I’ve been
hearing about.
